At another all-day set of lectures within the Mentoring Program, Hemofarm Foundation scholarship holders met with Hemofarm leaders and experts. Through interactive and educational presentations, the CEO of Hemofarm Ronald Seeliger, Director of Corporate Affairs and Communications Sanda Savić and Internal Communications Manager Dalibor Radić talked with students about the topics of leadership, personal and professional development, socially responsible business, communications and teamwork. The company's experts in the field of human resources, Ivana Jovanović, Jelena Petrović and Katarina Jovanović Čorlija, presented the scholarship holders with the best ways of presenting themselves through a professional CV, cover letter and interview with the employer, and introduced them to basic problem-solving strategies. The gathering of lecturers and students continued during a tour of the National Museum in Belgrade. This incredible fact was revealed to us by Dr. Nikolaos Dimitriadis at a lecture held within the ‘You Can Do It’ Mentorship Program, on the topic titled ‘Crisis and Your Brain’. As an awarded expert in communication, educator, and consultant, Dr. Nikolaos Dimitriadis uses neuroscience and his decade-long experience, emphasizing that a crisis like this will encourage the whole society to create new ideas, as well as faster and more efficient solutions. He points out that resilience and adaptability are key qualities that every individual must possess today, and that if we find meaning through this crisis, we will not only overcome it, but we will become stronger and contribute to the creation of a better society.

His Excellency, Thomas Schieb, German Ambassador to Serbia, was a guest – lecturer at the ’You Can Do It’ Mentorship Program, where he talked with scholarship holders about his personal and professional development, the importance of ethics, integrity, and team spirit in work, but also about the necessity of establishing harmony between professional and private life. ‘The key to achieving success is in cultivating curiosity and diversity, setting clear goals, and having determination and courage to pursue those goals. ‘What you should know when applying for the first job?’ was the topic of the second online lecture within the Mentorship Program ‘You Can Do It’ given by the colleagues from the Human Resources Division of the company Hemofarm A.D. Lana Stamenković, Supervisor for Selection and Recruitment, Đurđica Ponjavić, Employer Branding Specialist and Nikolina Brkljač HR Recruiter in the company spoke about how to write a CV and cover letter that distinguish you from others, how to prepare for a job interview and leave a good impression. The message of the lecturers to the scholarship holders of the Hemofarm Foundation was to be their own, authentic and honest, convincing in why they are the candidates who should get the job.

Activities of the Mentorship Program of Hemofarm Foundation ‘You Can Do It’ were implemented online during the coronavirus pandemic. The first online lecture on the topic ‘Effective Communication’ was given by Katarina Arambašić-Pivić, PR Manager and Dalibor Radić, Internal Communications Manager of the company Hemofarm AD. Successful communication will distinguish you from your colleagues, will help you to be excellent in business, recognized by your achievements and competitive in the labor market. ‘Effective communication is something you learn, not something you are born with,’ was one of the messages from our lecturers.

In his lecture entitled Ethics and Professional Responsibility, Prof. Đorđija Petkoski, Lecturer at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a consultant of the World Bank, encouraged the Hemofarm Foundation scholarship owners and their mentors to be proactive, and take responsibility for the development of their careers and the influence they can exercise through their professional engagement on local as well as global level and in local/global environment.

As part of the You can Do it Mentorship Program, Relja Dereta, consultant and trainer of presentation and communication skills, instructor of Argentine tango and founder and director of Epic Assistants company, spoke to the scholars of Hemofarm Foundation and their mentors about how to formulate our ideas efficiently, how to prepare for a performance, how to talk and move, how to overcome stage fright and respond to other unpredictable situations.

The Why You of All People – what makes you stand out from other candidates?“ was intended for the young people who encounter the challenges of the modern-day labour market for the first time. Taking into account the dynamic changes on the market as well as the high fluctuation of professionals in companies, the representatives of H.art Development Centre and Hemofarm AD HR Division provided guidelines and useful advice to the scholarship owners and participants of the Hemofarm Foundation Mentorship Program on how to prepare for the dynamic labour market, how to write a good CV and motivation letter that would draw attention, as well as what is important to point out during an interview for a desired position.
