UNBREAKABLE – Best Socially Responsible Campaign in Serbia in 2021
20. Nov 2021.
The UNBREAKABLE campaign of Hemofarm Foundation, for improvement of mental health, fighting depression and stigma that labels those affected, was voted best socially responsible campaign in Serbia in 2021. At the official ceremony of the first CSR festival in Serbia – Campaigns with Purpose, Hemofarm Foundation was awarded Grand Prix for having tackled an importans social problem, drawn public attention and offered possible solutions in its UNBREAKABLE campaign, as it was explained in the rationale.

‘We are really honoured with this award, since this means that our work has been recognised and appreciated. We believe that the interest of society is our interest, too. Even before COVID-19, depression was one of the leading disorders worldwide, while due to the different way of life dictated by the pandemic, the number of those who suffer from depression is considerably higher today. As a company and a foundation caring for people’s health, it was our duty to offer psychosocial aid to everyone who needed it in these hard times, through establishing an SOS line for fighting depression and a support network. This award obliges us to continue to fight even harder for a more responsible, more solidary and healthier society’, said Suzana Đorđević, Director of Hemofarm Foundation.

Grand Prix za Hemofarm fondaciju

Hemofarm Foundation launched the UNBREAKABLE campaign in collaboration with the Faculty of Philosophy of the Belgrade University, and with the support of the Ministry of Heath of the Republic of Serbia. Over 700,000 people have joined the UNBREAKABLE movement for fighting depression so far, with experts of four special hospitals for psychiatric disorders working on the SOS line for fighting depression: 0800 001 002, to whom almost 6,500 people have turned for support.

As of its establishment in 1993, Hemofarm Foundation has cared for people’s health, raised the quality of services in the Serbian healthcare system and established public-private partnerships with the aim of improving the quality of life in the local community. In 28 years of its operation, over 2,200 activities have been completed through healh, education, and cultural programs, in the value of about 13 million euros. Over the past six and a half years, Hemofarm Foundation has received a total of 26 awards for its activities, and it was declared the leading foundation in Serbia in 2017.

New Session Of A Cup Of Coffee With A Psychologist
Serbia is a society with deeply rooted prejudices and stereotypes, mostly related to gender equality, ethnic background as well as prejudices against various minority groups. Inconsiderate labeling of people can often lead to long-lasting, and in some cases even fatal consequences, and it is very pronounced towards people suffering from mental illness. We will talk about the origin of such prejudices and stereotypes and the ways to overcome them at the panel session ‘A Cup of Coffee with a Psychologist’ on Wednesday, 3 November, beginning at 6 PM, at the premises of Dorcol Platz. You can confirm your attendance by e-mail: rezervacije@dorcolplatz.rs, until Wednesday, 3 November, at noon. In order to protect the health of participants and visitors of the panel session, attendance will be allowed only to persons holding the Certificate of Vaccination against COVID-19 or a negative PCR test. During the panel session, wearing face masks will be mandatory. The panel session ‘A Cup of Coffee with a Psychologist’ is a part of the campaign ‘Unbreakable’ which is aimed at raising the awareness of public about the importance of preserving mental health and creating a social movement for fighting depression and the stigma accompanying the affected persons.
