The internship program of Hemofarm Foundation ‘You Can Do It’ for scholarship holders coming from medical, pharmaceutical, technological and biological faculties has ended. The three-week Internship Program took place at the headquarters of the Hemofarm company in Vršac in June, and it enabled the scholarship holders to gain practical knowledge and work experience in different divisions of the company.

During the first week of the program, scholarship holders attended over 20 expert lectures given by Hemofarm professionals. These lectures introduced them to the company's mission and values, covering topics such as business compliance, regulations, business development, and production processes. Additionally, part of the lectures focused on developing soft skills, including change management, stress management, personal effectiveness, and fostering a culture of feedback, all aimed at facilitating their adaptation to a new work environment.

The lecturers, experts of the Hemofarm company, are unanimous in their opinion that knowledge is best acquired through practice, and at the same time they are impressed by the attention and interest shown by the scholars during the lectures and the tour of the production plant and warehouse.

‘Hands-on practice is crucial because the experiences gained this way are long-lasting. It helps young people develop awareness and build affinities toward specific areas of their profession,’ said Ivan Velimirović, Senior Associate in Production at Hemofarm A.D. and lecturer on the topic of 'Manufacturing and Inspection of Aseptic Preparations.' He expertly guided the scholars through the production of sterile products.

Do Your Best, Even When No One is Watching

The last week of the Internship Program ’You Can Do It’ was marked by a lecture by Dejan Ivanović, Director of Technical Operations for Southeast Europe. Dejan was a scholarship holder of Hemofarm Foundation, and today he is one of the leading people in the Hemofarm company. He talked with the scholarship holders about his career path, the opportunities he created and the obstacles he encountered and how he overcame them.

"The opportunity for growth is as big as your ambitions. It's crucial that we each do our best, even when no one is watching. This is the key to success in large systems, where every link depends on the others. Additionally, it's vital to respect the rules, especially in pharmaceutical production, where people's health and product quality are paramount," Dejan told the scholarship holders.
