The Power of Solidarity: With Liceulice Vendors on the Streets of Belgrade
The “People to People” initiative, during which Hemofarm Group and Foundation employees together with street vendors of Liceulice magazine symbolically sold the 115th issue of the magazine, dedicated to the theme “City and Adaptation to Climate Change,” once again showed that solidarity, humanity, and empathy are priceless.
Colleagues from all sectors of the company responded to the call, selling the magazine together with Liceulice vendors in central Belgrade, along the stretch from Hotel Moskva to the Belgrade City Library. During an hour and a half, nearly all copies of the magazine were sold. The atmosphere was warm and emotional – smiles, hugs, and conversations reminded us that small deeds and a little attention can always spark change. A special moment occurred when one of the vendors recognized a colleague from last year’s initiative and wanted to sell the magazine again as a pair with her.
Support that matters
“This is an incredible experience. I still have mixed feelings. People responded with warmth and support, and I am left with the feeling that we truly did something meaningful,” said Bosiljka Stojnić, Senior CMD Specialist at STADA GIS Serbia.
“When you step into the shoes of those who make a living from selling, it completely changes your perspective. Each of us stepped out of our comfort zone today, but we gained much more – a lesson in unity, perseverance, and trust,” added Ivan Grandović, Strategic Purchaser in Hemofarm.
Solidarity in motion
The Director of Hemofarm Foundation, Suzana Đorđević, emphasized that the Foundation has maintained cooperation with the Liceulice association and its vendors for many years and reminded that, “the true power of initiatives like this lies in the message that each of us can help. By purchasing Liceulice magazine, you do more than a good deed – you restore hope and send a message that humanity and solidarity have the power to change lives for the better.”
Each of us can help
Hemofarm Group and Hemofarm Foundation call on the public to get involved, support, buy Liceulice magazine, and thus provide support to vendors for whom selling this magazine is an opportunity for a dignified life and legal income.
