The World in the Colors of Glass Beads
I have always loved creating with my hands. Even as a child, when there were no mobile phones or social networks, my toys were colorful yarns and embroidery threads. With a neighbor who had “golden hands,” I learned to embroider, crochet, and knit. The years went by, and handicrafts were pushed to the side. Studies, work, family — everything took priority, and I convinced myself that there was “no time” anymore for a needle and thread. Until one day, searching for jewelry for a special occasion, I decided to make it myself.

That moment awakened something in me. While stringing the first beads, I felt a peace and satisfaction I had long forgotten. Since then, working with my hands has become my little ritual, a moment in which I disconnect from everything and surrender to the colors, shapes, and a calming rhythm.

People often tell me that you must have a lot of patience for such delicate work. But I hardly even notice how much time passes while I string bead after bead. All thoughts quiet down, my breathing slows, and the tension melts away. Through making jewelry, I have learned to care for both body and mind — to maintain the mobility and strength of my fingers, while also calming my thoughts. Every piece I make carries a part of me: time, attention, and love. Additional confirmation comes from those who choose my jewelry for themselves, because each piece is unique.

Glass beads have become my world, one that fulfills me: a world where ideas turn into projects, and projects into small works of art. Over time, I met people who share the same passion and joined an association of creatives. Through joint exhibitions, fairs, and bazaars, I had the opportunity to present my work and meet people who know how to recognize the effort and love in every piece of jewelry. It is wonderful to create in the company of those who understand that quiet process in which something small and simple becomes a true little work of art.

For me, glass beads are not just a material. They are my way of expressing myself, of calming down, of reconnecting with myself. When my hands are busy, mind and heart find their peace.
