A NEW CHAPTER IN SUPPORTING YOUNG PROFESSIONALS: A DIALOGUE BETWEEN EXPERIENCE AND AMBITION
It was not just another training session that began in the conference hall of the Business Center in Belgrade. It was the start of a dialogue between experience and ambition, knowledge and curiosity, between generations brought together by a shared goal: to grow together.
The Mentorship Program for the 33rd generation of scholarship holders of the Hemofarm Foundation was officially launched with a full-day training session bringing together mentors, experts from the Hemofarm Group, and their mentees, students from medical, pharmaceutical, technological, chemical, electrical and mechanical engineering faculties at universities across Serbia. The first meeting was an opportunity to connect, exchange expectations, and lay the groundwork for relationships that will develop in the months ahead.
Delivered in partnership with consulting firm Lotse, the training focused on what makes a mentoring relationship truly successful: trust, openness and clear communication. Because mentorship is not merely the transfer of knowledge, it is a process of giving and learning at the same time, of listening and speaking, of guiding and being guided.

“I joined Hemofarm 25 years ago. Over time, I realized that beyond expertise and professional experience, broader interests, hobbies and life perspective play an essential role in the mentoring process. Relationships are at the heart of it all,” said Aleksandar Pavlović, Analytical Sciences Supervisor at Hemofarm and one of this year’s mentors.

The scholarship holders themselves confirm that the first steps have already set a strong foundation. “The energy and the coming together of so many accomplished professionals in one place were truly inspiring. I feel that everyone made a strong start with their mentors. I’m genuinely excited about what lies ahead in the program,” said Teodora Marki, a student at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Novi Sad.

“For me, the Program for Education is far more than mentorship. It is a two-way journey where we learn, grow and build relationships that continue long after the program officially ends. Those genuine human connections are its greatest value,” said Ivana Minović, Project Manager at the Hemofarm Foundation and Program Coordinator.
Since 2017, the Hemofarm Foundation’s Mentorship Program has been a key pillar of support for the personal and professional development of scholarship holders, future experts in healthcare and the pharmaceutical industry. By strengthening soft skills, providing hands-on experience and fostering professional networks, the program shapes not only careers, but also the whole community.
Over its 33 years of existence, the Hemofarm Foundation has supported nearly 4,000 young people. Many of them are now colleagues, leaders and respected experts in their fields. The new generation now carries that legacy forward, with the same energy and fresh ideas.
