The professional internship program ‘You Can Do It’ is a unique three-week experience, thanks to which scholarship holders, the best students of medicine, pharmacy, technology, biology, have the opportunity to talk, acquire knowledge and skills from Hemofarm Group experts.

A total of 23 lectures during the first week of practice

The first week of the Professional Internship Program was marked by 23 lectures by Hemofarm experts who, among other things, introduced the Foundation's scholarship holders to the corporate culture and values, the focus of which is the care of employees, their occupational safety and health. The lectures were also related to regulation in the pharmaceutical industry, quality control, validation of products and complex procedures, pharmaceutical development, business and licensing with tours of the chemical laboratory, solid dosage and sterile forms plant, familiarization with the packaging center, warehouse operations, placing products on the market, effective communication. The lectures also discussed the importance of sustainable business as an integral part of the company's social responsibility, change management, professional efficacy, feedback culture, etc.

Scholarship holders impressed by Quality Control Center

Summarizing their impressions from the first week of practice, the scholarship holders pointed out that their week flew by due to intensive activities, lectures, tours and acquaintances with colleagues from different sectors along with a lot of information about the Hemofarm company and work processes.













A culture of knowledge sharing, cooperation and innovation



Both mentors and lecturers pointed out that they are very happy to be part of the Internship Program and to have the opportunity to share their knowledge and experience with younger colleagues, whom they assessed as a very interested and enthusiastic group of young people who gave the program a new dynamic, fresh perspective and ideas.

‘I was most impressed by the process of drug development and licensing and the procedures related to the launch of a new drug on the market,’ the scholarship holder Tijana Stevanetić from the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade said after the first week of practice.

Her faculty colleague, scholarship holder Nina Gatarić points out that she is still under the impression of the Quality Control Center and everything she saw there because ‘as a medical student she did not have the opportunity to get to know it or see it’.

‘I like to pass on my knowledge to others and also to learn from others. I believe that this program is the best way to prepare young people for their first professional steps, and we, the mentors, are here to help them make those first steps in the direction of a sustainable, professional future’, concluded Nataša Stojšin, process specialist for microbiological control of the Hemofarm Group.

Miloš Janjuš, head of the Syringes and Cartridges Production Department in the Hemofarm group, points out that young people are eager for knowledge and full of positive energy and that working with a mentee is a pleasure and an opportunity to provide professional support that will enable their further growth and development.

Advantages of living and working in Vršac

And while the mornings of the Internship Program were devoted to practical work and gaining of knowledge and skills, the afternoons were reserved for getting to know the advantages of life in Vršac, which, according to the scholarship holders, has a very interesting and lively cultural scene and a developed sports and recreational life due to the proximity of the Vršac Mountains and Vršac Lake.

More than 3700 scholarship holders for 30 years

The professional internship program is part of the ‘You Can Do It’ Program for Education of one of the longest-running foundations in Serbia, Hemofarm Foundation, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Through this program, more than 3,700 young people were educated, experts who today work at Hemofarm Group or institutions of the healthcare system, taking care of people, their health and well-being.
